On February 26, 2018, the “Shanghai Excellent Entrepreneur & Shanghai Excellent Young Entrepreneur Selection and Awarding Conference” took place at China Financial Information Center, gathering nearly 400 representatives in this city. The ten entrepreneurs including Mr. Wu Jianying, Executive Director & General Manager of Haohai Biological Technology, Mr. Chen Dejun, Chairman of Shentong Express and Xu Jinghui, Chairman of Pacific Insurance won the “Shanghai Outstanding Entrepreneur Nomination Award 2018”.

The Selection and Awarding activity was jointly organized and implemented by the Municipal Enterprise Federation, the Municipal Entrepreneur Association and the Municipal Youth Entrepreneur Association under the uniform guidance of the Municipal Party Committee Organization Department, the Youth League Committee and the Municipal Development and Reform Commission and some other departments. The results of the selection was eventually produced after screening links such as propaganda, declaration by relevant parties, qualification selection, expert recommendation, credit information inquiry, judge voting and social publicity.

In the past two years, Mr. Wu Jianying as General Manager, has won numerous awards. He has received titles such as “Shanghai Pioneer in High-tech Achievements Transformation 2017” and “The 4th Shanghai Leader of Industry and Commerce” so as to complete a wonderful transformation from a surgeon to an excellent entrepreneurs.

Recalling his experience in starting up his own business, Mr. Wu Jianying said: “When I just started my own business, I was only thinking about how to create value and make profit from technology. I started from providing pharmaceutical sales service. During the process I found that pure marketing is just a service and cannot determine the future of biomedicine in China. So, I determined to develop an industry with my own science and technology and medical knowledge, instead of being a pure product seller. I started up in this sense.”

After more than one decade of development, under the leadership of Mr. Wu Jianying and his senior management team, Haohai Biological Technology has received the titles such as National Enterprise Technology Center, Intellectual Property Right Demonstration Enterprise and National High-tech Enterprise. So far it has developed into the leader of medically absorbable biomaterials industry in China.
